As of today, October 1, 2026, Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to World of Hyatt at 4:3 from the Sapphire Preferred and the Ink Business Preferred. From those cards, 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points now become 750 Hyatt points.
Who is affected
- Sapphire Preferred, opened before June 15, 2026: 1:1 ended yesterday, September 30. It is 4:3 from today.
- Sapphire Preferred, opened on or after June 15, 2026: already 4:3 since the account opened.
- Ink Business Preferred: 4:3 from today.
- Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business: still 1:1, according to AwardWallet's reporting. Chase's card pages do not state the Reserve rate.
What it means for couples
Chase says that "with an eligible Chase credit card, you may be able to transfer points to a spouse or somebody else in your household." In a household where one partner holds a Sapphire Reserve, the other partner's Ultimate Rewards can be combined into the Reserve holder's account and sent to Hyatt from there at 1:1.
